Pedro Páramo, the long-anticipated Netflix adaptation of Juan Rulfo’s iconic 1955 novel, is a haunting exploration of memory, guilt, and the supernatural, steeped in the eerie landscape of Mexico’s rural heartlands. Finally, I have finished watching this Netflix movie and now I am gonna give a review on this, which will help you to decide, whether you have to watch this much anticipated film of Netflix or not, so lets start with the basics.

Pedro Paramo Review

Plot : The story follows Juan Preciado , a young man who promises his dying mother to visit the town of Comala to find his father, Pedro Páramo. Once he arrives, he discovers a ghost town, inhabited by spirits who recount their twisted, tragic experiences with Pedro, a tyrannical landowner who ruled over them with cruelty.
As Juan delves deeper into the mysteries of the town, he uncovers the grim realities of his father’s past and his own family’s entanglement with the horrors of the past. So what is next for juan in that town, which you have to find by watching this film on Netflix.

Positive Aspects

Positive : to be very honest this film is not for everyone, so I don’t have so much positive to tell you, but for now only production work felt great to me otherwise this films lacks in every department, and that brings me on my negatives.

Negative Aspects

NEGATIVE – film fails to develop the word of novel, lack of character development makes it hard to watch, also pacing did not worked for me. That was so slow, also there is no WOW moments for fans, film lacks in entertainment too. Netflix should have adapted this film with more substance.
Conclusion – in my opinion if you have so much time and want to waste on a Netflix mediocre film then only I will say go and watch, otherwise I will not suggest you to go and waste your time on this garbage film. Its totally time waste, even tough its worst film of Netflix in 2024, I have wasted my 2 hours on this so good of health please SKIP! THIS.
Rating – 1/10* VERDICT – FLOP
